CIMAR Bitumen is a high-performance liquid bituminous coating engineered to provide continuous, seamless waterproofing and damp-proofing for vulnerable structural surfaces. Formulated with refined bitumen suspended in an elastomeric water-based emulsion, it dries to form a durable, highly flexible, and joint-free rubberized barrier that prevents water penetration and soil dampness.

Application Workflow

1.Surface Preparation:Ensure substrate is sound before application.

Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, oil, loose concrete particles, and laitance. Dampen porous concrete surfaces slightly before applying to enhance adhesion, ensuring no standing water remains.

2.Priming Coat:Optional for porous or dusty masonry.

Apply a diluted coat of CIMAR Bitumine (mixed 1:1 with clean water) to penetrate the concrete pores and lock down residual dust. Allow to dry completely.

3.First Coat Application:

Apply the neat coating evenly using a brush, heavy-duty roller, or spray machine at a coverage rate of roughly 0.5 to 0.8 kg/m².

4.Second Coat & Curing:Apply crosswise to ensure complete coverage.

Once the first coat is completely dry to the touch (approx. 3–5 hours), apply a second coat perpendicular (at a 90° angle) to the first. Allow a full 24-hour cure before backfilling or laying protection boards.
